The themes of interest to the artist are sea-escapes and views of native land. In his paintings, the serene dominates. The mood of each piece of work varies from painting to painting. Each artist‘s work contains a different view: a sunny day, the clouds in the sun‘s light, the approaching dusk and so on. The artist patiently studies nature and the sea in its different states and tries to convey these different states in his paintings.

The dimpled surface of the water is covered by the light of the sun. In some paintings it is dazzling, but in the others – only "sifted" with the sun‘s beams. The variety of the lighting and the contrasts of the colors enriches the spirit of the paintings. The artist work portrays a romantic nature. His work is sharing a relationship with nature, inviting the viewer to calm down, to dive into the joy, to observe the volatile Baltic.
